Native Sons and Daughters of Greater Kansas City Prize

Worthy Prize
This $100 prize is sponsored by the Native Sons and Daughters of Greater Kansas City, and is open to all entries.  It is awarded to the best entry dealing with Kansas City-area history.  This area is defined as Douglas, Franklin, Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami, and Wyandotte counties in Kansas, and Carroll, Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, and Ray counties in Missouri. 

To be eligible for this prize, students must complete the award nomination information within the online registration system, including an entry description and how the entry is related to the prize by the registration deadline date.

Nominations must include the following to be considered:  
  • Entry description and how it relates to the prize topic
  • Mailing address for each student associated with the entry 

If it is deemed that there is not an entry that meets the criteria, the prize will not be given.
