Anne Hawkins - current District 5 coordinator, educator, and former KS History Day teacher of the year, who previously co-coordinated the State competition in Abilene at the Eisenhower Presidential Library when HD was directed by the Kansas Historical Society. Served as History Day judge at all levels of competition and has coached several students to top 12 finishes.

Currently, prepares the annual KHD Topic Guide. Served as History Day judge at all levels and successfully prepared students to qualify for nationals. Email: [email protected] Susan “Sitt” Sittenauer - retired teacher, former KS History Day teacher of the year, “Queen” of fundraising for students aspiring to attend the National competition, as many of her students have claimed “bling” on the national stage. She also serves as a KHDF Board Member, who continues to inspire numerous students and mentor teachers across Kansas.
