KCHE Award
The Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area sponsors this $50 award. It is open to all Senior entries, regardless of level or category.  It is awarded to the entry that best exemplifies the ideals of shaping the frontier, the Missouri-Kansas Border War, or the enduring struggle for freedom within the heritage area.  Visit the website and pdf for additional information. 

To be eligible for this award, students must complete the award nomination information within the online registration system, including an entry description and how the entry is related to the award and mail in a copy of the nomination information and process paper and annotated bibliography by the registration deadline date March 28.

Nominations must also include the following to be considered :  
  • Entry description and how it relates to the award topic
  • Process paper and annotated bibliography
  • URL for websites
  • CD/DVD of the documentary (the district version)
  • Historical paper​
